Yakitori Numata

This place is amazing!! We added this place as one of our favorite Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf. I feel like I’m home “Japan”, visited here after the Christmas markets. It is about 15mins walk from Kö on Ice Market, we like that they open late so we did not have to rush after checking the Christmas Markets around. We got there without reservation, at first the staff was not sure if we can get a table right away but he was helpful and we did not have to wait for long. He let us wait inside too because it was freezing outside, their service was very good! Friendly staff, and good foods. We had Unagi bowl which is difficult to find a good place to get it here in Germany. 2 hrs away drive for That “Unagi bowl” is worth it very delicious very soft and perfect taste. I recommend the Unagi bowl! They are kid friendly too! I like the “Izakaya” vibe! We wish they have Yakitori Kawa (Chicken Skin) in the menu tho.

Just back from Japan, and ended up in a German Japanese restaurant! Boy was it good! Staff are either local or Japanese. Food is wonderful and menu is varied. Wait staff was a young lady from 🇯🇵 so friendly and helpful, and the owner came by to pour us sake in a very traditional way. It was so good he came back twice 😉 Best meal I had in Dusseldorf.

2 weeks ago I came to this restaurant and ordered the Spicy Hokkaido Miso Ramen and the Plum Wein, it was so delicious that today I traveled 2 hours just to eat it again with my friends, this time we also ordered the Chicken Nanban Bowl, Wagyu, Kirin Beer and even Lychee-Matcha Mochi Eis, every single thing was delicious ♥️

Authentic Japanese Izakaya Experience – Absolutely Perfect! Yakitori Numata is a true gem in Düsseldorf. The atmosphere feels just like being in Japan — cozy, lively, and full of character. Every dish was perfectly cooked, especially the yakitori — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The chef’s attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients are outstanding. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall experience was warm and genuine. It’s the kind of place where you lose track of time over great food, good drinks, and real izakaya vibes. Easily one of the best Japanese dining experiences I’ve had in Europe. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to come back!

Japanese cuisine is second nature to me and this was impressive to find a restaurant like that in Germany. The interior really looks like a restaurant you could find in Japan. The service was exemplary, despite how busy they were. The yakitori skewers were well made although they tasted a little bit different than what I am familiar with, perhaps to match the local palate? Other than that, everything else was great. PS : If you wish to tip them, make sure to have some cash on you as they cannot take it from the card machine.

Great food for a reasonable price. The chicken nanban was pretty tasty! We tried the wagyu skewer and the meat was so soft it melted in your mouth.

Small chic Japanese Yakitori, Ramen and small eats. Must try if anyone is in Dusseldorf city

We came here directly off the train, ordered 2 small plates, 2 drinks and 2 ramen, all the food were amazing, one of the best authentic Japanese place in Germany. Will come back next time in town for sure
