Came here during a lunch time. The place looked busy inside. The wooden figures are great fun, nice photo op. Inside is very nice too with the wooden style. The menu is extensive, lots of traditional Polish dishes. I opted for a beetroot soup with small dumplings inside. It was nice, no issues. Good prices too for traditional Polish food. On an evening they close at 7pm which is a shame they don't open longer as it would be nice to come here for dinner. Certainly to sit outside looking the square. I am sure they would be busy if they opened later. Lots of places close early around here, not like in the UK.

Traditional karczma, super charismatic old wooden restaurant. Service was fine, seems to be run by only two waitresses. There's a small touristic shop inside with fun local wooden artworks. Restaurant looks a little outdated but charismatic. Menu is traditional, local foods. Looks promising. Prices are great. Unfortunately, the food is simply disappointing. Soup didn't taste like fresh zurek, more like instant. It's not bad, just really disappointing. This place needs a better chef and a makeover, it really has huge potential. Now it just looks nobody seems to care what is being served. People will come anyways.

Happy to review this place. For anyone that loves polish classic soup Żurek I recommend stopping by and trying this gem. Place has a small souvenir shop inside with some funny wooden toys that have hand carved messages on them. Loved it.

Nice location and building. Food was only ok. Kotlet drwala was nice. Potatoes needed seasoning. Kluski were a strange texture. Rolada Twardowskiego was good but very small. Zurek was ok, nothing special. Barszcz czerwony was the best thing we had probably. Seemed understaffed as we had to wait a while to pay.

This is a place with a cool story and great environment to spend time with, if is with friends or family. The asthetics of the place are very traditional for the region. The food taste great and is nicely presented but you have to compose your dish, which has separate prices, which at first seems cheat but it's not. I'm not saying this is a down side, just simply stating it. Over all it is a great place to spend some time or have drinks with friends.

Overpriced food, 50zl for the worst meal Ive had in poland so far. Meat was swimming in fat, sauces tasted like McDonald's. REALLY disappointing for such a famous Restaurant. Cant recommend, every Fast Food wouldve been tastier, cheaper and even healthier. 0 stars if I could.
