a truly interesting culinary spot in the heart of Wrocław. The cuisine is creative and well executed, offering a mix of traditional influences with modern twists. The service here is excellent – attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, which makes the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights I would recommend is trying the pigeon. It’s something very unusual, not often found on menus, and Gustaw prepares it beautifully – tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the accompanying sides.

Don’t go here if you expect fine dining quality! First of all, booking a table was a complete nightmare. They would reply maybe once a week at most, and sometimes I had to follow up three times—by both email and phone—before they would confirm my reservation. I ended up paying a deposit to secure the booking, which was fine, but after payment, they still didn’t respond for a week until I chased them again. When my reservation was finally confirmed, they suddenly informed me that the chef wouldn’t even be in the restaurant that day and asked if we could move our booking. It took them a whole month and over 15 emails of back-and-forth to discover this. We ended up rearranging other plans to fit the new date, and I regret doing so. The person I had been emailing promised an “unforgettable evening,” but nothing suggested that they made any special effort. The food was average at best—some dishes were okay, others were downright bad. The bread was so dry it must have been several days old. The menu didn’t match what I had booked for. When I asked the waitress, she blamed seasonal availability, but the menu online was their latest version, and I highly doubt pork is more “in season” than veal. Obviously small changes can be expected, but this was completely different courses. This felt like a poor excuse for serving lower-quality dishes. Since the menu was the reason I booked in the first place, they should have informed us of any changes in advance. The wine pairing was served far too early, so at times we had wine poured and then waited 40 minutes for the next dish. Overall, it took more than four hours to get through six courses, with 20–40 minutes between plates. Service was mediocre, and the toilets had watered down soap… at this point it almost felt like a joke. We visited several Michelin-recommended restaurants on our trip, and this was by far the worst.

A Disappointing Tasting Experience at Gustaw The tasting dinner at Gustaw restaurant, which we attended on Friday, August 1st, unfortunately turned out to be a major disappointment. A tasting menu is usually the signature of a fine dining restaurant—a showcase of its style, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Sadly, I didn’t feel any of those qualities this time. From the very start, something felt off. The wines were not served at the right moments, which completely detracted from the enjoyment of pairing them with the dishes. As for the food: the first and second courses were acceptable, though definitely underwhelming. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. The sturgeon dish was completely inedible for me—something I genuinely struggled to swallow. It was the first time in my life that I had to skip a dish in a restaurant of this kind, something that’s never happened to me even in top-tier venues like Aquarius or Irena Eris. I was hoping at least the bread might redeem the experience, but unfortunately it was stale—clearly just reheated in the oven. The texture and taste made that unmistakably clear. I tried to handle the situation respectfully and constructively—spoke with the manager, Ania, and asked if we could bring the dinner to a close and settle only part of the bill. She kindly agreed, which I sincerely appreciated. Still, 1200 PLN for an evening like that feels completely disproportionate to the level of quality offered. I hope the restaurant receives this feedback in a constructive spirit. Unfortunately, I don’t plan on returning. This had absolutely nothing to do with Michelin-level dining.

We came here to celebrate my brother's birthday. The atmosphere is really nice - I enjoyed the decor and the service was very pleasant. The menu has one vegetarian main dish and some cheesy entrées, but none of those offerings appealed to me, so I ended up eating nothing. My husband enjoyed his steak very much, and everyone else was happy with their food as well. They also serve some quite tasty beer from Piwnica Świdnicka.

I am very picky and for me this restaurant ticks all the boxes. Friendly staff, nice decor and delicious fresh food. The complimentary vegetarian lard tartlet with fried topinambur was well presented and very tasty. I wish they would introduce it as a starter. The twists on food were not for the sake of a twist but it worked well with the dish too e.g. parsnip mash with a white chocolate. I have been previously to Między mostami restaurant and didn't feel the food was up there. The price is justified in Gustaw. I would come back here anytime.

We had an extraordinary lunch at Gustaw today. My wife had the beef tartare and foie gras and I had the goat cheese and the rabbit. We found all the dishes tasty and the attention to presentation quite high. Of particular importance to us, was the approachability of the staff. They were friendly, fun and open.

Gustaw gets it just right. A stylish spot that feels refined but relaxed — no fuss, just great taste. Creative flavor pairings, high-quality ingredients (local and beyond), and beautifully thought-out presentation. It was delicious, interesting, and perfectly satisfying. Fully recommend!

Recently, I took an client out for dinner for 10x People at this restaurant, and it turned out to be a perfect 10/10 choice! The elegant ambiance, exquisite dishes, and professional service left a lasting impression. My client was absolutely delighted one Person and I was confident I had chosen the ideal spot. Orange desert - Mindblowing ! Highly recommended for business meetings and beyond!
